BioLife Plasma Services leases 12,000 s/f at Blumenfeld’s The Crossings retail center

Bronx, NY The Blumenfeld Development Group (BDG) said that BioLife Plasma Services, part of the Takeda Pharmaceutical Company, has signed an 11-year lease becoming the most recent tenant at The Crossings retail center.

The 12,000 s/f facility is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2025. BioLife Plasma Services is an industry leader in the collection of plasma that is processed into life-saving plasma-based therapies. They operate plasma collection facilities throughout the United States and Europe.

“We are excited that BioLife has chosen The Crossings as their newest location in New York,” said Brad Blumenfeld, principal, Blumenfeld Development Group. “Having an industry leader choose this specific location shows their commitment to operating their first-class operation at a top rate facility.”

The Crossings, a 40,000 s/f retail space in the South Bronx, is located at the corner of Southern Blvd. and Hunts Point Ave. and was BDG’s first endeavor in the borough.

Since opening in the fall of 2017, the Crossings has served the community with a variety of tenants across industry and sector including McDonalds, Dollar Tree, Dunkin Donuts, and Optimum Mobile among others.
