"Becker has an absolute understanding of the mission and vision of MOMMAS House, and we are confident that under his leadership the board will provide the insight and direction that fosters growth and long-term stability," said Patricia Shea, executive director of MOMMAS House. "While people recognize Becker for his business acumen and successful real estate business, it is his passion to use his expertise to benefit humanity that truly defines him."
Headquartered in Wantagh and with homes in Hempstead, Glen Cove, Jericho, and East Massapequa, MOMMAS House is a home and safe-haven for young, single mothers and their children, who due to unfortunate circumstances find themselves homeless. In addition to serving as a place that mother and child (or children) can call home, MOMMAS House provides advocacy, counseling and on-site childcare so that the mothers can pursue vocational/educational training with the ultimate goal of attaining effective parenting skills and independent living.
"It is an honor to be a part of the Momma's House mission and to work with compassionate, generous people who are dedicated to ensuring that it fulfills its goals," said Becker. "The work of MOMMA's House, helping mothers in crisis situations and supporting them in their decision to choose life, is clearly doing God's work and promoting peace, faith, hope and charity."
Becker serves on numerous boards including Franklin Hospital Medical Center, the Lynbrook Youth Athletic Association and the Frank J. Becker Scholarship Foundation.
He is active in a multitude of charitable endeavors, and is a recipient of the Humanitarian of the Year Award from the Institute of Real Estate Management.Â
