Manhattan, NY Avison Young has made five new strategic hires to accelerate growth and broaden its platform in New York City. Christian Stanton, Oliver Petrovic, Jason Schwartzenberg, Alex Woodlief and Libby Hodes will strengthen the firm’s capabilities across New York City’s office, retail and investment sales markets.

Stanton joins as principal, specializing in retail-focused commercial real estate strategy & leasing across major U.S. markets. With 18 years of experience representing institutional landlords and globally recognized retail brands, Stanton advises Fortune 100/500 companies and emerging brands on market expansion, portfolio strategy, and flagship retail positioning. He previously held senior roles at Alvarez & Marsal Property Solutions (AM-PS) and Cushman & Wakefield.
Oliver Petrovic joins as executive director with a focus on office tenant representation within the New York City market, bringing over 19 years of experience working with a diverse client roster. Petrovic previously held a senior roles at Northwell Health, Cushman & Wakefield and Savills.
Jason Schwartzenberg joins as executive director with a focus on office tenant representation. Schwartzenberg advises companies on leveraging real estate as a strategic tool to enhance efficiency, flexibility and overall business performance and positioning workplaces to attract and retain top talent. He brings over 20 years of experience, including senior roles at JLL and Savills.
Alex Woodlief joins as director on Avison Young’s tri-state investment sales team, specializing in Manhattan’s Midtown and Midtown South markets. He brings over 15 years of experience in New York City office, commercial development, air rights and ground lease transactions. Woodlief previously held senior roles at B6 Real Estate Advisors, the Kaufman Organization and Cushman & Wakefield.
Libby Hodes joins Stanton as a director focused on retail agency and tenant representation. Hodes brings 9 years of experience in the market having previously held roles at Alvarez & Marsal Property Solutions (AM-PS), Cushman & Wakefield and Oxford Property Group where she specialized in retail leasing and site strategy, with additional experience in office leasing and real estate acquisitions.
