Appraisal Institute awards scholarships to four recipients
One of the main objectives of the Long Island Chapter of the Appraisal Institute is to promote the development of future leaders of our industry. President Matthew Guzowski had the pleasure of introducing the chairs of the scholarship committee, Frank Notaro, MAI, SRA and Tonia Vailas to the audience at a recent meeting who then presented this year's scholarship awards to four recipients.
According to Long Island Chapter of the Appraisal Institute scholarship chair, Tonia Vailas, year 2011 Scholarship Awards were presented in honor and memory of Howard Brower, Sr., MAI, SRA and James Gibbons, MAI, two founders of the Long Island Chapter.
The scholarships were presented to: John Biordi of Blake and Iaccio LLC, Matthew Boylan of Goodman-Marks Associates, Alan Hudesman of Frank Ciotta and Associates, and Gary Lane of Realty Valuations Consultants.
