Apollo Real Estate Advisors leases 56,113 s/f at 100 Duffy Ave.

1199 Service International Union (SEIU), United Healthcare Workers East has leased 56,113 s/f at 100 Duffy Ave., part of a three-building, 425,000 s/f office complex in the town of Hicksville on Long Island. The transaction was arranged by Blumenfeld Development Group. The lease is for a 15-year term. 1199 SEIU represents more than 275,000 members and retirees in New York, Maryland, the District of Columbia and Mass. Other tenants at 100 Duffy Ave. include insurance company AIG and New York Sports Clubs. Apollo Real Estate Advisors and Blumenfeld Development Group acquired the Hicksville complex in 2005 and redeveloped it for multi-tenant office and other complementary uses.

When Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) were first part of commercial real estate risk management, it was the lenders driving this requirement. When a borrower wanted a loan on a property, banks would utilize a list of “Approved Consultants” to order the report on both refinances and purchases.
