Ankura Consulting Group takes 29,698 s/f lease at SL Green’s 485 Lexington

Manhattan, NY According to SL Green Realty Corp., Ankura Consulting Group LLC, has signed a new 29,698 s/f, 15-year lease at 485 Lexington Ave. This is the third expansion for Ankura which has grown from 12,000 s/f at 750 Third Ave. The agreement doubles Ankura’s existing footprint in the building to 59,272 s/f on floors 9 and 10. 

Don Preate, executive managing director, of Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) represented Ankura, and Paul Glickman, Ben Bass, Diana Biasotti and Jon Fanuzzi of JLL represented the landlord. 

In January 2018 the firm signed a 15-year, 29,574 s/f lease at 485 Lexington Ave., relocating its offices from 750 Third Ave.

“This is the third lease with Ankura Consulting we’ve completed over the past 18 months and affirms our desire to work collaboratively with our tenants to accommodate their rapidly changing space needs,” said Steve Durels, executive vice president and director of leasing and real property at SL Green, “Ankura is a highly valued relationship and it was a team effort working with their broker from Jones Lang LaSalle to structure this fast moving transaction.“

Located close to Grand Central Terminal between East 46th and East 47th Sts., 485 Lexington Ave. is a 32-story, 929,765 s/f office tower with a 100-car on-site parking garage. Other tenants include Travelers Insurance, Offit Capital Advisors and law firm Phillips Nizer. Retail tenants include Pret A Manger, Gregory’s Coffee, Soul Cylce and Bright Horizons.
