Alvarez launches Axiom Fiber Networks, offering dark fiber custom solutions to N.Y.C.

Axiom Fiber Networks, a telecommunications infrastructure services provider operating in the greater New York City metropolitan region, revealed the official launch of the company. Axiom Fiber Networks, led by telecom industry veteran Felipe Alvarez, is set to offer dark fiber services and custom solutions to enterprise and carrier customers in the New York metropolitan area. Initially providing high-count fiber routes between key traffic interexchanges in New York City, Axiom's core network operates within striking distance of every building in Midtown and Lower Manhattan. Operating since late 2014, the company focuses on meeting the market's modern-day fiber demands, with flexible service solutions and business terms. The company's core value of providing customer control with speed of delivery complements the operational integrity and responsiveness of the network. Alvarez, chief executive officer of Axiom Fiber, offers more than 25 years of telecommunications experience gained from companies such as Sidera Networks (formerly RCN Metro), Con Edison Communications, Inc., Hibernia Networks, and Verizon. "I am thrilled to be back at building a service provider business that not only addresses continued market demand for fiber connectivity but also gaps in the marketplace in areas such as customer service, deal flexibility, and speed of delivery," said Alvarez. "We have assembled a proven leadership team that offers a deep understanding of the complexities of deploying and operating a successful telecommunications network infrastructure, and that shares a common passion for customer focus and customer service." Axiom Fiber's network is brand new and purpose built to support solutions requiring high quality fiber connectivity in any type of density situation, from single pairs to massively dense fiber counts. Using the latest generation fiber, the 20-mile 864 strand core network deployment began in late 2014; the first stage, connecting multiple carrier hotels, is scheduled to be complete in the first quarter of 2015 with the remaining stages finalized in the second quarter. "What truly sets us apart is the solution value we offer to customers - Axiom Fiber Networks' focus is making sure that the customer service experience is the best that it can possible be - we have a talented team of experts ready to deliver a new level of service in the industry," said Alvarez. "With a name like Axiom you can bet that we want customers to resonate our motto: 'Speed, Simplicity and Confidence.'"
