What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of?
I am most proud of my involvement in FDT’s Women’s Initiative. I am one of three founding female partners on the firm’s executive leadership team. Our goal is to mentor the women attorneys at our firm and to provide a platform for growth. Our initiative addresses how to build a practice, attract new clients through networking and marketing opportunities, and self-advocating to create new career opportunities. As empowered women, we are happy to give back and empower other women. We are proud of all of the women attorneys at our firm as they have all shown that they have the fortitude and dedication needed to excel in their careers.

What is one characteristic that you believe every woman in business should possess?
The one characteristic that every woman in business should possess is courage. Women need courage to fearlessly advocate for themselves, to empower other women, and to be strong and compassionate leaders. Women often undervalue themselves and do not advocate for raises, promotions and projects that could help them excel in their careers. We encourage the women at our law firm to voice their concerns, set career goals and seek out mentors who can help make their aspirations a reality. Women should also have the courage to share their stories and experiences with other women to empower them to make the right choices. Finally, women should have the courage to lead because the most important way to empower others is to lead by example.
