How do you keep your team motivated despite conflicts and obstacles?
Juggling urgent matters on top of daily tasks, deadlines and client meetings can make anyone overwhelmed. Having a sympathetic understanding, I always try to assist a team member in any way I can, no matter how small the task. Relieving even a little stress for a team member can go a long way and help us all as a team, stay positive and motivated to continue what we do and provide the best services for our clients.

In the past year, what project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of?
I am most proud of being able to provide our clients, many of whom are women and mothers, a voice through my writing. Whether it’s an appellate brief or a motion for the trial court, I look to communicate my clients’ goals in the most powerful and distinctive manner. Having a client sincerely and genuinely appreciate the hard work I’ve done on their behalf is extremely rewarding.

What steps have you taken to ensure the continued success of your firm?
The pandemic forced our office to quickly adapt to remote working and communicating with each other “from afar” rather than face-to-face each day. My attitude towards what is possible has changed, meaning, really, anything is possible!

How have you adapted and changed in the last 12 months?
Our firm took the necessary steps to continue working together as a team to provide for our clients’ best interests. This included our team meeting virtually every morning, 9:15 on the dot, during the pandemic. This personally provided me with consistent reassurance and undoubtedly maintained team unity, even during the most uncertain of times. Being able to work together through those months ensured the continued success of our firm and made it evident that we can adjust to changing times.
