29SC acquires 274-unit property in Louisville, KY

Louisville, KY 29th Street Capital (29SC), a privately held real estate investment firm, has acquired Ashton Brook Apartments, a 274-unit property. The closing completes the firm’s 9th acquisition in the state’s largest metropolitan area.

Ashton Brook Apartments is a Class B asset located in a Class A location. Built in 1979, the vintage-inspired community is local to 29SC’s in-house property management company’s headquarters, Haven Residential. The pet-friendly community offers residents a comfortable lifestyle, with amenities that include a swimming pool, fitness center, dog park, outdoor grilling and picnic area, playground, and laundry facility. Units feature stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, faux wood blinds, large closets, hardwood-style flooring, fireplaces in select units, new windows and patio doors, energy efficient appliances, and washer and dryers in select units.

The Louisville International Airport is located 11 miles from Ashton Brook and is the second busiest cargo airport in the country. It is home to major employer UPS Worldport and adjacent to the Ford Louisville Assembly plant. Only 2 miles from the community are shopping centers known as the Oxmoor Center and Mall St. Matthews. Major retailers located within the shopping centers include Apple, Von Maur, Macy’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and Dillard’s. With easy access to major interstates I-264, I-71, I-265, and I-264, Louisville’s downtown area is less than 15 minutes from Ashton Brook.
