Name: Mark Lauzon
Title: Senior Director
Company Name: Cushman & Wakefield, Inc.
Year Founded: 1917
Years with Company: 10+
Years in the real estate business: 30
Q: The approximate number of years you have been a subscriber and/or how the NYREJ has been a benefit to you and/or your business:
A: I have been a subscriber for more years than I can count. I would like to guess at least a couple of decades. I am particularly fond of the publication as it portrays the business in an informative, yet friendly tone with tons of coverage on owners, developers and completed deals. I also enjoy the short anecdotes from various members in the industry. In all, the information keeps me in tone with the rest of the real estate world in and about the region.
Q: The approximate year you discovered the NYREJ and what business you were in at the time:
A: I was introduced to NYREJ through Kristine Wolf - and her amazing energy and enthusiasm for the publication. One indicator of the how long ago it was, I believe it was at least three years before Kristine's first daughter, Phoebe, was born. I sense that Phoebe is probably five years old, but in reality, she is probably 18. At the time of the NYREJ, I was in the real estate business and on the owner's side of the equation, rather than my current practice on the brokerage side.
Q: Your most memorable or favorite "15 minutes of fame" in the NYREJ:
A: The publication has always been very supportive and responsive to the covering my leasing transactions in a quick and accurate way. As for my "15 minutes of fame," my deal coverage has been consistent, but I think the opportunity to be mentioned in the 25th anniversary, may be a few of the collective minutes.
