Years in real estate industry: Family in New York Area commercial real estate development for generations
Q: The approximate number of years you have been a subscriber and/or how the NYREJ has been a benefit to you and/or your business.
A: My family has been active in New York area commercial real estate development for generations and have always found the NYREJ to be both a reliable way of keeping our fingers on the pulse and communicating with our various markets.
In 2008, I recognized increasing utility costs were spawning a niche opportunity in both aftermarket commercial building energy efficiency improvements as well as new construction and left the umbrella of the family business and founded The Cotocon Group.
We now have two offices - one midtown on Lexington Ave. and one suburban in Hicksville - and with the necessity of our services growing with every utility increase; our future seems assured. Through all that, the NYREJ has been instrumental in getting our message out; and, perhaps, more importantly, has created an awareness of energy savings opportunities and options with responsible editorial content while avoiding cheap sensationalism.
