Steven Yu
Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Crystal Window & Door Systems

What was your greatest professional accomplishment or most notable project, deal, or transaction in 2024?

As a national fenestration manufacturer, Crystal supplies vinyl and aluminum windows and doors to many notable projects in the New York metro area. One such project completed this year was The Arboretum development in Farmingville on Long Island. Crystal supplied over 3,700 energy efficient windows and glass doors for this project, which involves a mixed development of 75 individual homes, townhouses, and low-rise multifamily buildings on 62 acres.

What emerging trends will drive investment and development in 2025?

Driven by local codes and utility costs, an emerging trend is the rapidly increasing effort to upgrade New York buildings for greater energy efficiency, carbon emission reduction, and sustainability. Crystal is seeing window replacement for improved thermal efficiency as a key decision factor for building owners who are seeking to meet these environmental challenges. Architects and property managers are specifying high-performance windows such as Crystal’s with advanced glass units designed to give expansive views while providing superior energy efficiency.
