2024 Women in CRE: Laura Rapaport, North Bridge

Laura Rapaport
Founder & CEO
North Bridge

What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of?

This year, North Bridge won PACENation’s PACESetter Award for Innovative Deal of The Year for The Battery in Philadelphia. We partnered with the developer to structure a $26.6M C-PACE loan to enable completion of this landmark mixed-used conversion. C-PACE was applied retroactively at TCO and utilized to pay down existing loans unlocking additional liquidity to finish the project. This amounted to $8M of energy savings over the C-PACE term for the developer.

What are the most important factors young women should consider when choosing a firm to build their career with?

First and foremost, from an industry perspective, prioritize networking. The power of a strong network has been instrumental in my journey to where I am today. Equally important is paying it forward – understanding how you can shape the organization around you is also important when choosing a firm. Help others not for personal gain, but because you have the ability to make a positive impact on their lives. This approach not only enriches others but also fosters a more supportive and thriving professional community.

Who inspires you most? What qualities do they possess that inspire you?

I am inspired by those who recognize opportunities where others don’t, fueled by their energy and drive to succeed. I admire people who work hard, inspire those around them, and take pride in their accomplishments - no matter the industry.

Why should this nominee be recognized in our Women in Commercial Real Estate Spotlight?

“Laura is an exceptional leader and founder who has a strong vision for the future of real estate finance. The depth of her experience allows her to think outside the box to deliver innovative solutions to the industry. More importantly, Laura is known for her generosity and for always being willing to help other women in real estate reach their own goals.”- Ilana Ettinger, Managing Director at North Bridge.
