2023 Women in CRE: Camille Renshaw, B+E

Camille Renshaw
CEO
B+E

What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? B+E has become the top car wash broker in the country over the last two years, completing sale leaseback transactions, helping buyers with properties that provide bonus depreciation and other tax benefits, and helping corporate owners with other types of sales and development. Our work has helped establish this segment as a coveted investment in institutional and private NNN portfolios.

Who inspires you most? What qualities do they possess that inspire you? My grandmother has always been my greatest inspiration. She told me it was okay to be afraid; I shouldn’t ignore healthy fears. Instead I should develop bravery as a key strength in the face of those fears. Be brave!

Why should this nominee be recognized in our Women in Commercial Real Estate Spotlight? “An industry leader, she makes frequent speaking appearances, authors articles and quoted in Wired, The NewYorker, Wall Street Journal and other outlets. She’s an Executive in Residence at NYU Stern School of Business, an Advisory Board Member for Rutgers University’s Big Data Program and an Advisor to DreamIt’s UrbanTech Accelerator.” - Amanda Neal, Marketing Supervisor at B+E.

What are the most important factors women in your industry should consider when choosing a firm to build their career with? Make sure the organization has women in positions of leadership. Work for a great leadership team, as opposed to picking a specific job based on its tasks. Job requirements will evolve; the leadership might not.
