2023 Ones to Watch Rising Stars: Austin Lan, Ease Hospitality

Austin Lan
Director of Operations
Ease Hospitality

Number of years at firm: 3.5

One thing on my bucket list: Travel to Yoshino in Japan outside of Osaka to see the cherry blossoms, to Normandy, France to visit the D-Day memorials in Colleville-sur-Mer and to explore the beaches where the Normandy landings took place in 1944.

When I am not working, I am: Spending time with family and friends, being a super-uncle to many, traveling, reading, cooking and pursuing a passion for history.

What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? Building Ease Hospitality, a management company that specializes in operating physical meeting spaces for corporate meetings and events, has been challenging for obvious reasons as we navigate the habits of a post-pandemic workforce. It has also proved to be very beneficial to our tenant population as the modern workplace has evolved. Our team has built a best-in-class conferencing business that re-energizes peoples’ appetite for in-person meetings that generate collaboration and foster human connection. We’ve also developed a ‘service-first’ approach with our tenant base in several of Fisher Brothers’ core assets by building out a world-class physical and digital amenities platform.

What makes this nominee a RISING STAR?

“Since 2015, Austin has launched and managed operations for half-a-million square feet of commercial amenity spaces. Bolstered by the relationships he’s developed with our tenants across the portfolio, he has generated substantial traction and strong tenant engagement in our amenity services – a testament to his creative and entrepreneurial spirit.” - Moxa Giddings, COO at Fisher Brothers / Ease Hospitality
