How did you get your start in real estate?

I was intrigued by my father who owned stores

What real estate associations or organizations are you a member of?

Real Estate Board of New York

What recent project or transaction are you most proud of?

During what is considered challenging for high end properties–selling the model unit at the uber luxury new development for $7.5 million: A three-bedroom.

What recent honor, achievement or recognition has meant the most to you and why?

Most recent recognition of being in the top group of boutique firms ranked by the Real Deal. Of course winning the Henry Foster Award in 2014.

What have been some of the benefits of being a mentor or having a mentor?

It’s a confirmation when you have something to teach and mentor that all the hard years are being utilized and transferred to those that can benefit.

Who or what has been the strongest influence on your career and why?

No one person..being part of the New York City group of realtors for 31 years is like being in a special club..

What time management strategies do you find to be the most effective for you?

Work all hours of the day and keep going until you need a great vacation..then work it the same 24/7. When you deal in the market place, and service clients there are never boundaries unless it’s family time which is when I draw my limits.

What is the best advice you have received and who was it from?

Remember you might be right but the customer is never wrong.

When you launched your business what were some challenges that you experienced?

I had my own business which I transferred when I became the manager of Core Group Marketing. When I left I launched a business that had to be different than before so viewing the market and staying current and relevant not to what I believed but what I saw was working and adopting the winning formula even if it meant spending a lot more personal money than I wanted.

How did you overcome them?

I just took the plunge and went for it.

What was a significant milestone or achievement for your company?

Opening up a commercial division and having that part of the business being a great adjunct /

What advice would you give to a woman who is planning to launch her own business?

Go for it. You only have one chance and don’t expect answers and success right away. Success comes in different forms and over time.

How do you empower other women in your workplace?

I assure there is laughter…even when the knots are wound too tight and you think you cannot unravel..humor is important. You have to enjoy what you do and assure it gets you in your belly and remember…we are in the problem solving business as much as being an accountant, a therapist, a decorator, a matchmaker, a strategist, an economist, a paralegal,…in order to do what is needed good organizational skills are mandatory.
