11-19-2015 - Wx to host 2015 Woman Of The Year Gala to honor Bowser Eastpointe Consultants, LLC

WX New York Women Executives in Real Estate (WX) is pleased to announce that it will host its 2015 Woman of the Year Gala on Thursday, November 19, 2015 from 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm at The Pierre located at 2 East 61st St. The gala will honor Carmen M. Bowser of Eastpointe Consultants, LLC, for her accomplishments as a leader in real estate and her contributions to WX. Honoring a Commitment to Success for Women in Real Estate Carmen M. Bowser has been active in the commercial real estate arena for 30 years, working for institutional lenders, banks and other capital providers. Most recently as Managing Vice President at Capital One Bank, Ms. Bowser had oversight for the underwriting and asset management activities for the bank's $30 billion commercial real estate debt portfolio. Prior to Capital One, she held senior positions at Prudential, TIAA-CREF and Arbor National Commercial Mortgage Company where, in addition to being responsible for originating portfolio, agency and CMBS loans for clients in the U.S. and Canada, she also made investments in private equity funds, negotiated equity joint ventures and made direct property acquisitions. During her real estate career, Ms. Bowser has closed over $6 billion in transactions. A WX member since 2003, Ms. Bowser was instrumental in establishing the WX Charitable Fund. She has served consecutive four-year terms as treasurer of both WX, Inc. and the WX Charitable Fund, has taken the lead in a number of special projects, has participated in panel discussions and has served as a mentor to scholarship recipients. In addition to WX, Ms. Bowser is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the Real Estate Lenders Association. She was previously chair of the Finance Committee of the Real Estate Board of New York. Ms. Bowser has a Bachelor's degree in Classical Languages from William Smith College and an MBA in Finance from the Rutgers School of Management. The 2015 Woman of the Year Gala will also pay tribute to Patricia Goldstein, a longtime WX member and previous Woman of the Year recipient who passed away recently. Ms. Goldstein leaves a legacy as a pioneering woman in finance who was committed to mentoring other women in the industry.
