On July 15, from 8-10 a.m., Professional Women in Construction (PWC) will present “Underfloor Service Distribution: A Key Strategy for Green Buildings,” the latest in its ongoing series of Continuing Ed classes. Presented by Tate Access Floors, the program will demonstrate the use of underfloor service distribution (UFSD) by exploring such benefits of the system as: improved IAQ; energy efficiency; personal comfort control; daylighting; and flexibility. UFSD will be compared to other common green buildings strategies by examining how they align with the high performance and sustainable attributes of a green building. The class, offering AIA CEUs, is $5 for PWC members; $20 for non-members including refreshments. It will be held at the General Society of Mechanics & Tradesmen, 20 West 44th Street.
