The following are upcoming REBNY Events: June - August 2014:
• June 3 - 5 & 10 - 12: 72 Hour Florida Broker Course, 8 AM - 7:30 PM. Sam Irlander, a fellow REBNY member and a licensed Florida instructor, will conduct this Florida Broker Pre-License course for REBNY members. Since it is no longer necessary to be a Florida resident to hold a real estate license in this state, Florida now recognizes experience in another state, making it easier for brokers to acquire a Florida broker license. This 72-hour course requires an 8:00 a.m. until 7:20 p.m. daily schedule from June 3-5 or June 10-12, 2014. In addition, this course receives 22½-Hours of N.Y.S. Real Estate Broker/Salesperson Continuing Education credit - CE331 (*Does not meet the New York State Fair Housing requirement towards NYS license renewal.) • Friday, June 6: Annual Residential Downtown Breakfast Roundtable Discussion, 8:30 AM Light Breakfast; 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM Discussions. Residential experts including brokers, appraisers and mortgage bankers will their insights on various market topics at this event hosted by REBNY's Residential Division's Downtown Committee. Participants will spend 20 minutes discussing a topic and asking questions with an expert at one of five tables before moving to the next table to interact with another expert. It was created by Tom Hayman of Harvard and Wharton who has 25 years of experience as a professional negotiator, and is taught by national educator Marie Spodek of DREI who brings a wealth of knowledge and practical experience to agents in this exciting new negotiation and business-building course.
