Construction at the site of the future Wyndham Garden Hotel & Suites and Apartments, 5195 Main Street - Amherst, NY

Concept Construction Corp., specialists in commercial general construction, construction management, design-build and sitework services has broken ground at 5195 Main St. to construct the Wyndham Garden Hotel & Suites and Apartments, by Ellicott Development.
The mixed used hotel and upscale apartments are located on the former site of Stereo Advantage. At an estimated cost of $28 million, the 220,000 s/f, 6-story structure will serve as a residential, hotel and retail facility. When completed, the first floor will have 3,500 s/f of retail space, a hotel lobby and a separate 3,000 s/f restaurant. The second through sixth floors will include 120 hotel rooms, including 25 suites, 33 apartments with 1st and 2nd floor parking directly beneath the hotel. An indoor swimming pool, spa and fitness facility are just some of the additional amenities included in this first rate facility.
Western New York is beginning to show signs of recovering economy and that has lead to a resurgence of new construction projects locally. As consumer confidence continues to grow, small business owners have expanded their investments and regional development projects have increased. This new mixed-use project is an excellent example of that.
"We have always felt that it is a privilege to be selected as the general contractor on any job. We are pleased to be doing another project with Ellicott Development and are very proud of our long standing relationship with them," said Concept Construction's founder and CEO Michael Shevlin.
With the sitework nearly complete, foundations are expected to begin soon.
