What was your most notable project, deal, transaction or professional achievement in 2018?
Growing my business was my most notable and satisfying professional achievement this year. In addition to adding an associate to help expand my business, I have created a new website so at KCohenRealty.com potential customers can view spaces and obtain information about our listings. This helps us effectively and efficiently broker deals between our tenants and landlords. We also have taken on new partnerships to help our landlords find tenants for their spaces quickly.

What market trend(s) will impact your industry in 2019?
Obviously, the recent announcement that Amazon is locating part of their second headquarters in Long Island City will have a major impact on the commercial real estate market in the coming years. How NYC manages the infrastructure challenges that the influx of people and jobs will have to the area will have a ripple effect on the commercial retail leasing market and development of multi family investment properties in the region.

Do you have any New Year’s Resolution(s)?
Instead of New Year’s resolutions, I prefer to call them goals. My professional goal is to grow my business and help my associates do the same. My personal goal is to continue to spend quality time with my family and friends.
