Wasserman of LEW Corporation is a well respected leader in the environmental industry
If you believe that all environmental companies are the same - opportunists out to make a quick buck based on the current issue de jour - then you better think again. Or at least meet with Lee Wasserman, who no pun intended, just doesn't fit that mold.
LEW Corporation began environmental testing and consulting operations in 1991. Early on while meeting with Mark Rosen of The Solomon Organization, LLC, an owner-operator of 10,000 apartment residences in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, Wasserman remembers Rosen telling him that he expected LEW Corp. to look at each job with them as if they were a partner in the deal or the property involved. Wasserman took that advice and has passionately carried it for the last eighteen years.

That philosophy has made LEW Corp. a well respected leader in the environmental industry, with a reputation that has been earned by working smart, hard and as efficient as practical for his clients. That reputation has been built while performing environmental testing, consulting, training and remediation services, on assignments ranging in size from large government projects and commercial properties to smaller, single family homes.
In October, LEW Corp. was the single recipient of the first New Jersey Apartment Association's (NJAA) Garden State Awards, Business Partner of the Year. The award was elected by a majority vote of the multifamily owner members who were all judges. NJAA is a statewide organization dedicated to advance and protect the welfare of the apartment industry in New Jersey. The award came almost ten years to the date after one of the first awards ever received by LEW Corp., the 1999 NJAA President's Award and it was certainly a symbolic mark not lost on Wasserman as he informed his company. "Of all the awards and all the other recognition we have received over the years, this award should mean the most to each of us, for it does to me! For this award is the true testimony to ALL of our hard work, our industry expertise, service, and most importantly our corporate philosophy of 'When you hire LEW Corp., you have gained a partner, a partner you can TRUST.' Wasserman and LEW Corp. were also fortunate enough to receive the 2003 Associated Builders and Owners of Greater N.Y. (ABO) Emma Lazarus Award.
Nathan Slovin, a former NJAA executive director with 20+ years of experience as a manager and legal counsel in the apartment industry, offered when learning about LEW Corp's award -"From LEW Corp.'s very beginning Lee Wasserman instinctively inserted himself, his company and his resources in places where help was needed. Most notably in his counsel on lead paint issues providing the NJAA government affairs team with sound counsel as we navigated the lead paint issue in Trenton and Washington, D.C. and in his involvement with the Children's Charitable Fund, Lee showed up and inevitably NJAA was better for it.He was a regular presenter of lead paint training sessions at NJAA not only providing his services as a presenter for free, but contributing materials to make these presentations more effective."

Wasserman understands that the recognition and acknowledgement brings a level of responsibility...and that there will be good days and bad days, commenting, "There are many days I'd prefer to be mountain biking or kayaking, but LEW Corp. was founded with the intent to provide our clients with a well trained, experienced professional staff, whose sole purpose is to assist or alleviate our clients of their environmental needs."
