Two Trees Management signs three leases in Brooklyn totaling 3,933 s/f

The waterfront neighborhood of DUMBO, a prime destination for art lovers, full of artistic venues and creative businesses, welcomes three new companies. The Shaltzes/photographers, Big Leo Productions and Maxine Schaffer Studio. All signed new leases in Two Trees Management's properties at 45 Main St., 55 Washington St.and 20 Jay St.
"Creative businesses come to DUMBO for inspiration, as we have an abundant arts scene including events like First Thursdays, a monthly neighborhood gallery walk, the Dumbo Arts festival, the Photo festival; galleries, entertainment venues and an overall focus on the arts," said Caroline Pardo, Director of Leasing for Two Trees. "There is a synergy to DUMBO, making it an exceptionally attractive place to work."
The Shaltzes/photographers, LLC leased 1,486 s/f at 45 Main St. Jason and Carrie Shaltz mainly work in the fashion and music industry taking pictures at concerts or shooting album covers and also have expanded into the art world, doing videos and working at exhibitions.
The duo's images were noticed by an advertising agency, landing them a spot in a Blackberry commercial currently running nationwide; another commercial featuring the siblings is anticipated.
Big Leo Productions, LLC., signed a lease for 857 s/f in 55 Washington St. Founder Mary Dail has established a roster of photographers and stylists who work in lifestyle, fashion, travel, interiors, still life, food and more.
Maxine Schaffer Studio, Inc., a studio also new to DUMBO, leased 1,590 s/f in 20 Jay St. Maxine Schaffer, the studio's owner, is an artist who creates most of her work by blowing up images using projectors, and large pieces of wood as materials.
Representing the landlord for The Shaltzes/photographers and Maxine Schaffer Studio leases was Elizabeth Cottrill; Caroline Pardo represented Two Trees with the Big Leo transaction.

Two Trees Management Co. owns most of the Brooklyn neighborhood of DUMBO (“Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass”) as well as significant properties in the Downtown Brooklyn, Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill, Boerum Hill area. The company’s holdings include 13 buildings and the second largest portfolio of commercial space on the Brooklyn waterfront, which spans 3 million square feet.
