T. Weiss Realty Corp. leases 10,618 s/f to Janney Montgomery Scott LLC

T. Weiss Realty Corp. said Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, one of the nation's largest regional full-service investment firms, has signed a long-term lease for 10,618 s/f at Melville Corporate Center III, becoming the first tenant in the recently completed class A office building. Janney, currently at 225 Broadhollow Rd., is expected to relocate its Melville branch office in September to the new 133,000 s/f building, which also is known as 324 S. Service Rd. "We welcome Janney Montgomery Scott to Melville's newest, most amenity rich office building," said Ted Weiss, president of T. Weiss Realty. "The prime location and superior amenities offered by this building will produce significant benefits for the company and its employees and visitors." Weiss said Janney's decision to lease space at 324 S. Service Rd. will set the tone for the building, a granite and glass sheathed four-story building. T. Weiss has leases pending with several other prominent potential tenants for significant spaces in the building. The building, the newest class A property in Melville, offers uninterruptible power, full-service conference facilities, a well-equipped fitness center, dining facilities and the only virtual golf studio in an office building on Long Island. Janney Montgomery Scott was represented in the transaction by James Wenk, director in the N.Y. office of The Staubach Co. T. Weiss Realty was represented in house by Craig Weiss and Ted Weiss.
