The Switzer Group, an Interior Design Giant 100 and award-winning Interior Design firm, has relocated its headquarters to 3 East 54th St. This new facility is another milestone in The Switzer Group's continuing commitment to innovation in the workplace and architectural style that reflects its core philosophy of design for its clients. Switzer chairman and CEO, Lou Switzer said, "Our new facility allows us greater flexibility to address future changes in the industry, and provides a new aesthetic that we feel represents the 21st Century." The new office's focus is to provide a spatial organization that fosters an integrated team approach and allows for the collaborative nature of the design process. The studio space with low height and open linear workstations allows for better communication between staff. It also provides for a variety of comfortable and flexible break-out and meeting spaces throughout the facility within which to exchange ideas between project teams as well as with The Switzer Group's clients. Technology and sustainability has had a major impact on the industry as a whole, as well as The Switzer Group at its new facility. Louis Villafane, the firm's new Managing Principal states, "We have seen the return on investment in the short time we have been in our new headquarters. We are working faster, more efficiently and smarter than ever before. The new facility with new technology integration in our workspace supports that effort. We will be utilizing tools such as Revit for Building Information Modeling (BIM) which will allow us to create and manage projects quickly and more cost effectively." "This is what we do every day." says Gregory Gresham, Switzer's Design Principal, "We create spaces that individually reflect who our clients are and our office is no different. Our new facility is designed so that we can continue to be among the best in our business creating efficient, functional and beautiful designs through the next decade and beyond."
