Stalco Const. promotes Furey to account executive
Stalco Construction, Inc. promoted John Furey to account executive. "Since joining Stalco in 2008, Furey has contributed immensely to the growth of our firm in the Greater New York area, particularly in the private sector," said Stalco principal and CFO Kevin Harney.
Stalco is currently ranked as the 89th largest contractor in the nation by Building Design & Construction magazine.
The value of the firm's on-going projects totals approximately $120 million.
"His knowledge of the AEC and real estate industries, combined with broad expertise in project management, budgeting and scheduling, will support Stalco's strong position in the New York City and Long Island markets."
Furey's responsibilities include maintaining client relationships, business development and marketing. He also supports Stalco's clients in selecting design solutions and construction methods that optimize their real estate facilities' functionality, quality and energy efficiency.
Furey brings more than 30 years of executive, project management and estimating experience to his new position. Prior to joining Stalco as Senior Estimator and Purchasing Director, he held positions at Candor Construction, LGB Development, McCann Construction, CSG Construction, and NICO Construction. He is a graduate of Suffolk County Community College and completed construction management and drafting programs at Mechanix Institute.
John Furey is an active member of Contractors For Kids (CFK), the largest Greater New York area charity supported by the construction, design and real estate community. Founded by Stalco Construction, CFK financially assists families struck by serious childhood illness. To date, CFK has raised approximately $3 million for its programs.
