Schneider and Vascotto of VVA to be honored by F*E*G*S on May 20

Founded in 1994 by Lorenzo Vascotto and Sail Van Nostrand (who has since retired), with Irwin Schneider joining the firm one year later, VVA is celebrating its 15th Anniversary this year. F?E?G?S Health and Human Services System, a major NYC nonprofit organization, has selected Vascotto and Schneider as honorees this year for their work in helping rebuild New York City and giving back to the community. The event will take place on May 20, at The Pierre Hotel in Manhattan. F?E?G?S is one of the largest and most diversified not-for-profit health and human services organizations in the U.S. serving 100,000 individuals and families each year in the New York City metropolitan area. "We are humbled and greatly honored to accept this designation," said Vascotto. "It comes at an especially meaningful time for us as we mark the 15th Anniversary of our firm. We are truly proud of the work we have done in this city and around the country and the dedication of our entire firm to philanthropy and volunteerism." Schneider said, "We are extremely proud to be honored by F?E?G?S so that we can help raise additional funding and awareness for this truly remarkable organization which helps countless numbers of individuals and communities. At a time when so many people are finding themselves unemployed and potentially homeless, F?E?G?S, as it has done for almost 75 years, is helping to rebuild lives - through counseling/career transitioning and employment assistance and a vast network of health and social services which help thousands of people live life with greater independence and dignity. We are truly grateful to be involved with this organization."
