Rose appointed assistant marketing manager at Alcott HR

Alcott HR has appointed Melissa Rose as assistant marketing manager. Rose brings over a decade of marketing experience to her new role, in which she is responsible for the design of all marketing collateral materials, corporate event planning and the management of the company's social media and networking activities. Directly prior to joining Alcott HR, Rose served as the director of Marketing at GrooveCar, Inc., where her role encompassed a full range of marketing functions, from the design of all print and digital marketing materials including brochures, flyers, PowerPoint presentations and email marketing campaigns to the development of marketing plans, monthly newsletters, news releases and website content, as well as organizing trade shows and special events, and maintaining the company's social networking accounts. In addition to her role at GrooveCar, Rose held positions as: the marketing coordinator for First Empire Securities, Inc., marketing coordinator for Getty Marcus CPA, P.C., assistant to the director of facilities at New York Institute of Technology, a role which involved various marketing communications functions amongst others, and marketing associate for Goldberg & Connolly. Since 2004, she has been the owner of Rose Marketing, a full-service marketing consulting firm. Rose holds a master of arts in Communication Arts from the New York Institute of Technology from which she graduated Summa Cum Laude and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Wilkes University. Acknowledged for her expertise and achievements, Rose's honors include being named a member of the Long Island Business News "Top 40 Business Professionals Under 40" for 2012, Huntington Chamber of Commerce's "Top 30 Business Professionals Under 30" for 2011 and the Public Relations Professionals of Long Island's "Rising Star" of 2011. She is a Mentor for the Moxxie Network Foundation and serves as the layout and design artist for the Public Relations Professionals of Long Island's quarterly newsletter.
