REBNY unveils 2010 Board of Directors annual election results

The Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), one of the city's leading real estate trade associations, has unveiled the results of the 2010 Board of Directors Annual Elections.
The Commercial Board of Directors, which oversees the commercial brokerage division for REBNY, named the following new directors for a three-year term: Frank Doyle of Jones Lang LaSalle; Steven Durels of SL Green Realty Corp; Christel Engel of Colliers International; Michael Gottlieb of Grubb & Ellis New York; and Bertram Rosenblatt of Vicus Partners.
The Residential Board of Directors, which oversees the residential brokerage division for REBNY, named the following new directors for a three-year term: Barbara Fox of Fox Residential Group; Diane Levine of Sotheby's International Realty; Kenneth Scheff of Stribling & Associates; Tresa Hall of The Corcoran Group; Diane Ramirez of Halstead Property; Karen Berman of Argo Residential; and Steven James of Prudential Douglas Elliman.
The REBNY Ethics Committee also named its election winners: Joseph Barbaccia of Essential New York Real Estate; Vickey Barron of Prudential Douglas Elliman; Helene Fields of HF International Realty Ltd.; and Steven Goldschmidt of Warburg Realty Partnership, Ltd.
"We are excited to welcome our new directors to our Commercial and Residential Boards. We also congratulate the new members of our Ethics Committee," said Steven Spinola, REBNY President. "Their counsel and expertise will be invaluable not only to their respective committees, but also to the city's real estate industry. We are proud to have them involved in their new capacities."
The Real Estate Board of New York is the city's leading real estate trade association with more than 12,000 members. REBNY represents major commercial and residential property owners and builders, brokers and managers, banks, financial service companies, utilities, attorneys, architects, contractors and other individuals and institutions professionally interested in the city's real estate. REBNY is involved in crucial municipal matters including tax policy, city planning and zoning, rental conditions, land use policy, building codes and legislation. In addition, REBNY publishes reports providing indicators of market prices for both the residential and commercial sectors.
