Racanelli family to be honored for support of Hospice Care Network

On Friday, April 8th from 7 p.m. - 12 a.m., Hospice Care Network will host its 22nd Annual Children's and Family Bereavement Dinner at Land's End to benefit its Children's and Family Bereavement Program. The event will honor the Racanelli family for their exceptional support and commitment to Hospice Care Network and significant involvement in the Long Island community. For over five decades, the Racanelli family has been contributing to the growth and development of the Long Island region. The Racanelli organization has developed over 1,000 acres of commercial/industrial property and constructed hundreds of buildings occupying in excess of 13 million s/f. In 1992, Racanelli Construction Co., Inc. was formed by the sons of Martin and Rochelle Racanelli: Nicholas Racanelli, Michael Racanelli, Richard Racanelli and Martin Racanelli, Jr., joined by their father. After practicing law in New York City, Constance joined the family business as its corporate counsel. In 2010, she formed a women owned business enterprise, Con Rac Construction Group. While each of the Racanelli's have served with various nonprofit organizations - often holding leadership roles - their involvement with the Hospice Care Network's Children's and Family Bereavement Program is a family affair. The Racanelli family has been supporting the Hospice's Children's and Family Bereavement Program for the past ten years, regularly attending its annual event. Currently, Marty, Jr. is serving on its fundraising committee, which he plans to continue in 2011. In addition to the Hospice Care Network, the Racanelli's are actively involved in many other charitable and philanthropic activities. Included among them are the American Heart & Stroke Association, Brookhaven Memorial Hospital, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Nassau Community Medical Center, Southside Hospital, St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School and the YMCA of Long Island. The 22nd Annual Children's and Family Bereavement Dinner will feature live music by "Rich Mahogany". Ticket price per person is $150 and includes a cocktail reception, buffet dinner, and live auction. For more information, please contact Ms. Chris Court, Hospice Care Network's Director of Special Events, at (516) 224-6467. Recognizing that grief is a shared experience, Hospice Care Network embraces the family unit and partners with them individually and collectively on their journey towards healing. The Family Bereavement Program is one of the many programs of care offered by Hospice Care Network. Through individual and family counseling, peer interaction, education and advocacy, Hospice Care Network offers a safe place where children can hope and families can heal. When Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) were first part of commercial real estate risk management, it was the lenders driving this requirement. When a borrower wanted a loan on a property, banks would utilize a list of “Approved Consultants” to order the report on both refinances and purchases.
