Spitalnick of Kaufman reps tenant, MX Telecom in 6,596 s/f sublease

March 19, 2010 - Brokerage
The Kaufman Org. brokered a four-year, 6,596 s/f sublease at 180 Varick St. for MX Telecom. Arthur Spitalnick of Kaufman represented the tenant, while Steven Marvin, executive managing director of Olmstead Properties, represented the sublessor. "MX Telecom was looking to expand and move from Brooklyn to Manhattan. The office at 180 Varick St., which was built out and furnished, was the perfect space for this company. The panoramic views and location in the Hudson Sq./SoHo neighborhood secured the deal for this firm," said Spitalnick. 180 Varick St. was built in the 1920s. The 350,000 s/f building has been owned and operated by the same owners for over 85 years. Tenants include Morgan Stanley, Office of Metropolitan Architects, and ImClome Systems Incorporated.
