February 22, 2010 - Brokerage
According to SWBR Architects, Tim Zigarowicz has earned his architectural license from NYS. Zigarowicz, who joined SWBR in 2004, will continue his current capacities at the firm where he is a project manager/technical coordinator. He specializes in housing projects, most recently completing designs for DePaul Main St. Campus, DePaul Batavia Apartments, Providence Atwood Apartments and the Heritage Christian Service's Group Homes. He will continue to service clients in SWBR's Life Services Studio and will support project teams through space planning, schematic design, design development, construction documents, code research, and sustainable design practices. He also volunteers on the Construction Committee for Habitat for Humanity and is a member of the Construction Specifications Institute. Zigarowicz earned his Bachelor of Professional Studies in Architecture from the University of Buffalo and he received his Associates of Applied Science in Architecture from Alfred State College. To earn an architectural license, one is required to have a certain number of years of experience based on the level of college education. In Zigarowicz's case it was seven years of experience with four years of college. It is also a requirement to complete the IDP which is a program in which one documents all experience and submits this prior to be authorized to sit for the Architect Registration Examinations. Once all seven exams are passed, one is then licensed.
