CIBS 2009 Annual Achievement Award presented posthumously to Feldman

January 25, 2010 - Long Island
The Commercial Industrial Brokers Society of Long Island (CIBS) presented its annual Achievement Award posthumously to Larry Feldman, who served as CIBS general counsel from the organization's founding in 1992 until his untimely death earlier this year. "Larry Feldman was an outstanding attorney and we miss his wisdom, insights and friendship. He provided the CIBS board with continuity and institutional memory," CIBS president Jeffrey Schwartzberg said. "His death was a great loss and we hope to honor his memory with this award." The award recognizes a CIBS member who has provided significant service to the professional organization. "Larry really thought this was a great organization," Feldman's widow, Blair, said as she accepted the award. "It means a lot to me that you remember him." The award was presented at the CIBS Meet Your Associates Party at the Delano Mansion at the Woodlands. At the time of his death, Feldman was a partner in the real estate, land use, and corporate & banking groups at the Uniondale-based law firm Farrell Fritz, where he concentrated on commercial leasing, real estate development, real estate brokerage law as well as economic development. In addition to his work as CIBS counsel, Feldman was a regular speaker at CIBS seminars.
