The law firm of Segal McCambridge Singer & Mahoney, Ltd. has signed a lease for 23,149 s/f on part of the 11th floor of 850 Third Ave., owned by Shorenstein Properties LLC.
The transaction represents a 7,000 s/f expansion for the law firm, which was formerly situated on multiple floors at 830 Third Ave.
"We searched the east and west sides of Manhattan for the perfect office solution for our client, and 850 Third Ave. was the optimal Midtown choice," said Studley executive managing director Daniel Horowitz, who along with executive managing director Michael Goldman, senior managing directors Jeffrey Peck and Joe Messina, and managing director Daniel Posy represented Segal McCambridge.
"The firm was attracted to the strength of the building's ownership," said Horowitz, "Which has committed to build out a turn-key above-standard law firm installation at no cost to the tenant."
"The firm was pleased to be able to remain in Midtown in a building that offers competitive rental rates," said Goldman.
Segal McCambridge is scheduled to move in April. Matthew Astrachan of Cushman & Wakefield acted on behalf of the landlord.
Other tenants in the 623,900 s/f property include Discovery Communications, Citibank, NA, Shearman & Sterling, and Titan Outdoor.
Glenn Browne, Esq. of Braun, Browne & Associates P.C. acted on behalf of the tenant, while Robin Levitt Topol Esq. of Butzel Long represented the landlord.
