SMPS-NY to hold breakfast on January 13

The New York Area Chapter of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS-NY) will kick off the New Year by hosting a panel on what work is ahead in the public sector.
Topics will include current and future budgets and capital programs, expected work in the years ahead, project delivery methods, and the procurement process.
The event will take place on Wednesday, January 13th, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Graduate Center, City University of New York, 365 Fifth Ave., at 35th St.
Pat Neumann, president of SMPS-NY, said, "The SMPS-NY Area Chapter is excited to once again offer valuable information from some of the top public agencies. As we start the New Year, we are dedicated more than ever to be the prime resource for marketing and business development opportunities for the design and construction industry."
The panel will be moderated by Joseph McGough, senior VP at HAKS, and will include Tim Volonakis, manager, professional, technical and advisory services division, Port Authority of N.Y. & N.J.; Sharon Greenberger, president and CEO, N.Y.C. School Construction Authority; Ifeanyi (Manny) Madu, executive project manager, N.Y.C. Department of Environmental Protection; and Ashley Cohen, regional recovery executive, U.S. General Services Administration.
The panel is being organized by Gina Bedoya, director of SMPS-N.Y.'s programs committee and board member.
The program is being sponsored by Langan Engineering & Environmental Services and by MBI Group.
