Laura Pomerantz is a principal and founding partner of New York-based commercial real estate firm PBS Real Estate. She has over 13 years of executive-level commercial real estate experience and a significant background in the wholesale and retail industries.
In 2007, Pomerantz represented Abercrombie & Fitch in securing over 40,000 s/f of space at 600 Broadway in SoHo for the Hollister Co. flagship store (currently the site of Pottery Barn). In addition, she represented Giorgio Armani for a store of more than 40,000 s/f at 717 Fifth Ave., the former site of the Hugo Boss store.
Pomerantz was also recently named the exclusive European and United Kingdom real estate consultant for Abercrombie & Fitch, as well as exclusive national agent for Timberland Retail, Inc. focusing on retail opportunities in New York and throughout the U.S.
Pomerantz specializes in strategic planning and tactical plan formation, tenant representation (office and retail), lease negotiation, and acquisition and development. She has successfully concluded over 3 million s/f of commercial office and retail transactions for clients including Bloomberg L.P., Bear Stearns, Giorgio Armani, Abercrombie & Fitch, Timberland, Stuart Weitzman, Tory Burch, and David Yurman.
Prior to establishing PBS Real Estate in 2001, Pomerantz served as a senior managing director at Newmark & Company Real Estate, Inc. for five years, with senior level responsibility for major tenant representation assignments. She has also held senior management positions including executive managing director of S.L. Green and executive vice president and board director of The Leslie Fay Companies, Inc. for 18 years.
Pomerantz has a longstanding commitment to the New York community and the arts. She is a member of the Carnegie Hall board of trustees and its executive committee and is chairman of Carnegie Hall's special events committee. Pomerantz is also on the board of directors of the Richard Tucker Foundation. Pomerantz was the recipient of the NOW Legal Defense and Education Fund Equal Opportunity Award in 1990, and a 1992 inductee to the YWCA's Academy of Women Achievers. In June 2007, she co-chaired the Citymeals-on-Wheels' 22nd annual "Chefs Gone Wild" tribute; the evening raised a record $1.2 million for the charity.
