Sholom & Zuckerbrot Realty (S&Z) has arranged two long-term leases for Five Guys Burgers and Fries, in the Douglaston and Bayside sections of the city, according to Frank Zuckerbrot, president of S&Z. The location in Douglaston is at the Douglaston Plaza Shopping Center, where a 1,500 s/f restaurant is set to open this fall. The Bayside location will be at the Bay Terrace Shopping Center. A grand opening for the 2,300 s/f eatery is planned for later this year. Weinstein represented Five Guys Burgers in both transactions. Tom Pira of Kimco Realty represented the Douglaston Plaza Shopping Center, and Mary Hughes of Cord Meyer Development represented the Bay Terrace Shopping Center. Other tenants at Bay Terrace include Applebee's Neighborhood Bar and Grill, Waldbaum's, Barnes and Noble, the Gap and Men's Wearhouse. The lease transactions are the second and third arranged by the firm on behalf of Five Guys Burgers in Northern Queens. The first was completed in 2007 at Northside Plaza in College Point. "S&Z has been working on behalf of Five Guys in Northern Queens since we arranged their College Point location two years ago," notes Douglas Weinstein, managing director at S&Z. "We are pleased to have completed these two transactions to further their expansion into the Queens marketplace."
