I am an associate AIA, NOMA, LEED AP with HOK Architects. I was recognized as a 2008 Emerging Leader in Sustainable Design - Design Futures Council (DFC). Among my career achievements are: Appointment to NOMA Board of Directors, 2006; appointment to HOK PR/Communications Team with a focus on business development, 2009. I am affiliated with: AREW, CREW, AIA, NOMA, ULI, and DFC. What makes you an innovator? I innovate by creating distinct solutions to complex problems. What obstacles have you overcome to get where you are today? I overcome obstacles through perseverance. What motivates you to succeed? I am motivated to succeed by my family. How do you stay ahead of the curve? I am able to stay ahead of the curve by possessing hope. Who/what has been the strongest influence on your career and why? My strongest career influence has been the guidance of my mentors. What impact has social networking had on your success? Creating sustainable environments is a core anchor of my career. What excites you most about this industry? I am most excited about the possibilities that are inherent to the building industry.
