What excites you the most about this industry?
Every day is new, different and ever changing, no time for boredom in this ever challenging industry-yes it's exciting! Better to be polite and say in this tough real estate market the real word is: Interesting. What interests me most about this industry?
For me, no two days are exactly same as-yes-the wheel is always being re-invented...it's as if working backward is the key to keeping ahead of the sometimes tedious mundane and necessary aspects of the work a day work-only fresh eyes and positive attitude need apply.
Mixing up the daily basic routines and duties by ending the day with the standard needed clerical duties, which can be, and are time consuming, go quickly when there are no "normal" work a day disruptions.
Another key factor which is so helpful is being able to turn on a dime, dare I say-enjoying the creative challenge of multi-tasking flexibility and keeping optimistic thoughts. The most rewarding aspect of being a real estate broker is being a "public relations" person. Not only clients and customers, but all people in time will have housing situations that are influx and need professional assistance. I am always there to lend a helping hand whether it be finding a short-term rental or discovering their next house when they outgrew their old one.
Another perk of being a seasoned broker is that of being asked to use a variety of creative talents such as being a guest speaker at housing information workshops, and writing articles for the industry, community publications and websites.
Needless to say, the cherry on the top excitement of this industry is the computer! Forever gone are the naive pre-Internet days; now with eyes wide open, keeping up with the new information technologies seem to make the work look 'book perfect.'
Now about my beloved blackberry...enough said...
Again to answer the question: I love being a Bronx real estate broker, living and working in my life long neighborhood, and looking forward to hearing from you.
