Buffalo Planning Board approves developer Croce's $19 million, 57-room hotel project

The Buffalo Planning Board has approved the plan of local developer, Mark Croce, to construct a $19 million hotel at the Curtiss Building located at Franklin and Huron Sts. The project is scheduled to be completed by late 2010. The new 110,000 s/f hotel will feature 57 rooms, a 20,000 s/f meeting/banquet hall, a full service restaurant and a spa/salon. A seventh floor will be added to the building, creating room for four suites. The project will be built utilizing sustainable and green practices. The project received a $1.35 million grant from Restore N.Y. program. The architect is Young + Wright Architectural. Croce broke ground on the restoration project on September 24.
