DeGenova and Van Horn join EYP as senior laboratory planner and senior project director respectively

EYP welcomes laboratory planning expert Robert DeGenova, R.A., as a new senior laboratory planner. DeGenova, who possesses more than 25 years of programming and planning experience, will play an integral role in further strengthening EYP's nationally respected science and technology practice. EYP president and CEO Tom Birdsey, AIA, said, "We are thrilled that Robert has joined our renowned science and technology team. His leadership and vast experience in laboratory planning will provide our clients with the expertise they have grown to associate with EYP."
DeGenova, a registered architect, has planned and programmed more than two million s/f of science and technology space in North America, Europe, and Asia. His impressive project portfolio includes design for research and development, biomedical, translational, bio-containment, and pharmaceutical manufacturing laboratories, vivaria, and academic science facilities. In his new position, he is responsible for developing innovative approaches for the design of laboratories.
EYP also welcomes renowned architect William Van Horn, AIA, as a new senior project director. Van Horn, who possesses more than 25 years of extensive project management and architectural design experience, will play a crucial role in further strengthening EYP's award-winning higher education practice. Birdsey said, "William's extensive experience with designing technology-intensive, user-friendly college and university facilities will be a significant asset to our firm. We are thrilled to welcome him to our team."
Van Horn's responsibilities include high-level project design, fostering and maintaining strategic client relationships, negotiation of contracts and fees, and development of project design schedules and budgets.
