Paul Petruzzelli has joined the tax certiorari department of Forchelli, Curto, Deegan, Schwartz, Mineo, Cohn & Terrana LLP. Petruzzelli, a certified New York State assessor with over thirty-two years experience, will greatly strengthen the capabilities of the practice. The tax certiorari department - one of the largest on Long Island - continues to enhance the services offered and stay ahead of the curve.
"Having an assessor with appraisal experience on staff strengthens our firm's ability to be effective for our clients," said John Terrana, partner in charge of the firm's tax certiorari department. "We have always had experienced Tax Certiorari attorneys and paralegals in our department. Paul is a great addition to our practice."
The tax certiorari practice group at the firm concentrates in handling tax certiorari proceedings to challenge real estate tax assessments and reduce real estate taxes. Their team approach involves checking every aspect of a property's taxation to ensure that our clients obtain the largest possible tax refund and reduction in future taxes. This concentration allows the firm to provide a very specialized service that is usually only available in a small firm, with the resources and expertise of a large firm. Their tax certiorari practice is supported by a custom-designed computer software system that allows us to handle each case effectively and expeditiously. In addition, our extensive database includes detailed property record information on every parcel of real property in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
