The Long Island Chapter of The Appraisal Institute hosts 12th annual golf outing - September 30

October 23, 2009 - Long Island
The 12th annual golf outing of The Long Island Chapter of The Appraisal Institute was held September 30 at Lido Golf Club. The golf outing was a very successful event, and was hosted by Long Island AI chapter president Frank Notaro, MAI, SRA. The weather finally cooperated and everyone enjoyed a great day of golf, including our tournament, raffles, cocktail hour, and evening social barbecue. Special guest Joe Gannascoli, "Vito" from the Sopranos joined us, and told us of his newest film project, based on his book, "A Meal To Die For." The Closest-To-The-Pin contest was won by Gary Lane; longest drive by Matt Holtz; putt-off by Ed Drake, and chip-off by Jim Cowan. The tournament trophies were won by the following: First Place: Matt Busch, John Colleary, Matt Holtz, and Rob Reed. Second Place: Jim Cowan, Gary Lane, Joe Savilia, and Tom Tener. Third Place: Ed Drake, Arthur Hutton, Tony Marmorale, and Frank Notaro. Congratulations to all! Special thanks to the golf committee, Gary Lane, Anthony Marmorale, and Francine Morgenstern for their untiring efforts in arranging and executing this event. Our appreciation also goes out to our sponsors, who helped make this event more enjoyable. We are planning our next golf outing for June, 2010. Don't miss it; mark your calendars now!
