Branford-based facility services company O,R&L recently won the 2009 Office Building of the Year Award for the N.Y. Capital region (TOBY) and Mid-Atlantic region (TOBY MAC) by the Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA). O,R&L Facility Services provides comprehensive management, maintenance and custodial services for the State of New York located at 625 Broadway.
The most prestigious honor placed O,R&L up against other facility services firms and properties from all over the Mid-Atlantic U.S., and buildings in larger markets such as New York City, Boston, Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia. In addition the award also placed 625 Broadway and O,R&L as one of five finalists worldwide for the International BOMA Building of the Year Award.

As the first LEED-NC silver accredited building in the state of New York, 625 Broadway is 471,000 s/f. The facility supports over 1,600 tenants and visitors each day. O,R&L Facility Services worked to implement a green management plan at 625 Broadway which has helped to reduce manual operations expenses by $1 per s/f annually, as well as saving the property $500,000 in operating costs.
