Brian Ziegler, partner-in-charge of the corporate/securities law practice at Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman, LLP, has been elected to another four year term as the Village Justice of Woodsburgh, effective July 6.
Ziegler is a member of the firm's corporate/securities law practice group. He has broad experience in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, joint venture transactions, finance, private placements, license agreements, taxation and general business counseling.
He also serves as outside general counsel to a variety of different businesses and is regularly called upon to advise corporations of all sizes, family owned businesses, limited liability companies and partnerships.
A frequent lecturer in the area of limited liability companies, Mr. Ziegler is also a contributing author of New York Forms: Legal and Business, published by Lawyers Cooperative Publishing. A cum laude graduate of the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania, he holds both a Juris Doctorate and a Master of Law degree in taxation from the University of Miami School of Law. He is a member of both the New York and Florida Bars.
In addition to serving as the Village Justice for the Village of Woodsburgh, NY, Mr. Ziegler is Chairperson for the Empire State Cup and the Commissioner's Cup Golf Tournaments at the Black Course of Bethpage State Park, each of which is organized by the NYS Department of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation for which Mr. Ziegler serves on the Golf Advisory Committee. He is also Co-Chair of the Mentoring Partnership of Long Island and a co-founder and participant in the firm's mentoring program known as LIKE (Lawyers Involved in Kids' Education).
