Long Island
The Women Economic Developers of Long Island (WEDLI) is currently celebrating its 25th anniversary as a non-profit organization whose goal is to foster the economic development on Long Island. WEDLI members are high level decision makers working in economic development or field with impact on economic development. WEDLI's members represent banking, finance, accounting, marketing, commercial real estate, real estate development, community development, higher education, government and law.
New WEDLI members are considered from among outstanding women who have demonstrated leadership in their respective sphere and involvement in Long Island's economy and growth. Candidates for membership are nominated and sponsored for membership by currently active members.
Topics of vital interest to Long Island are discussed at WEDLI's monthly meetings. In this vein, Patrick Foye, former chairman of the Empire State Development Corporation, presently a partner with Rivkin Radler, LLP shared his extensive knowledge and experience as a lawyer, businessman and government representative discussing corporate, restructuring, real estate, and energy matters as the main speaker at WEDLI's June dinner meeting at the Sea Cliff Yacht Club.
WEDLI has made an enduring and indelible contribution to the economy of Long Island throughout its 25-year history.
