F∙E∙G∙S Health and Human Services System, a major New York City nonprofit organization, held their annual benefit dinner on May 20 at The Pierre Hotel. This year's benefit honored Lorenzo Vascotto and Irwin Schneider, managing directors of VVA Project Managers & Consultants, for their work in helping rebuild New York City and giving back to the community. The event was a huge success raising over $1 million, equal to funds raised at last year's benefit, despite vastly different economic conditions this year. Many top executives from the commercial real estate, design, construction and corporate communities, as well as local celebrities including Ernie Anastos, a Fox 5 anchorman and F∙E∙G∙S board members, employees and others affiliated with the organization, attended.
"We were humbled and greatly honored to accept this designation," said Vascotto. "It comes at an especially meaningful time for us as we mark the 15th anniversary of our firm. We are truly proud of the work we have done in this city and around the country and the dedication of our entire firm to philanthropy and volunteerism."
Schneider said, "We are extremely proud to have been honored by F∙E∙G∙S and to be able to help raise additional funding and awareness for this truly remarkable organization which helps countless numbers of individuals and communities. At a time when so many people are finding themselves unemployed and potentially homeless, F∙E∙G∙S, as it has done for almost 75 years, is helping to rebuild lives - through career counseling and employment assistance and a vast network of health and social services. We are truly grateful to be involved with this organization."
