The AIA Long Island Chapter board of directors are busy preparing for their upcoming events. On May 20th & 21st AIA New York State & AIA Long Island chapter will hold a spring symposium at the Hilton Garden Inn, Westbury. The symposium titled, "Tools and Techniques for Sustainable Daylighting," is being funded by a grant from NYSERDA. The first day will cover sustainable daylighted building design. AIA Long Island will be holding its 6th annual product fair at the Crest Hollow Country Club, Melville, on Wednesday, June 10. Admission is free and the fair is open to all architects, landscape architect, engineers, interior designers and contractors. Continuing education programs will be available throughout the day. Please bring your business card for admission into the fair. Each year the chapter holds its annual golf outing to benefit the Scholarship Fund. This year's outing is being held on Thursday, July 30, at the North Hills Country Club, Manhasset. Three students are selected from high schools across Long Island. The students are chosen from high school seniors who will be attending a college or university in the fall and are enrolled in an accredited architectural program.
