The Association for a Better Long Island (ABLI) and the Commercial-Industrial Brokers Society of Long Island (CIBS), presented the 2008 "Most Ingenious Deal of the Year" award to Ted Stratigos, senior director in the Melville office of Cushman & Wakefield Inc. This is Stratigos' third such award.
ABLI president Mitchell Rechler and CIBS president Jeffrey Schwartzberg presented the award to Stratigos at a black-tie dinner on April 2, 2008, at Carlyle on the Green in Bethpage State Park. The award recognized Stratigos' work in arranging a 145,000 s/f lease that brought Little Neck, N.Y.-based Leviton Manufacturing to the former One Beacon Building at 201 N. Service Road in Melville. The building is owned by Steel Equities. The deal required relocating all of the building's then tenants.

One of Long Island's more active brokers, he has represented corporations such as Allstate Insurance, Merrill Lynch, Sbarro Corp., EAB, Computer Associates, Cablevision, Grumman Data Systems, Fleet Bank, Bayside Federal Savings, MCI, GTE and Greyhound Corp.
